DESCRIPTION:Join SPAN in celebrating the We Move project with an\nevening of music\, film and performance. \nSPAN\, in partnership with Llwy Gariad group of diverse\npeople of West Wales\, is proud to present an evening of celebration for the We\nMove project\, a Global Majority youth social action project bringing young\npeople together. \nJoin us for films and music created and presented by We\nMove\, a youth-led project for Global Majority children and young people across\nWest Wales. Celebrate the We Move Project with delicious food from the Zahia’s\nKitchen\, live music from the We Move house band\, aerial\ncircus from Eliza\, and a performance from The Successors of the Mandingue. \nThe project is supported by the Children in Need We Move fund.\nThe £1m We Move Fund: Youth Social Action aims to empower Black children and\nyoung people to use their voice to tackle subjects that matter to them and\ncreate change. We know that Black children and young people face many barriers\nin British society. Inequality\, racism and discrimination prevent Black\nchildren and young people from accessing many opportunities including accessing\nsimilar opportunities and services compared to their peers and engaging in\nsocial\, cultural\, education and economic activity. \nThe project seeks to achieve positive outcomes for Global\nMajority children and young people through Youth Social Action\, and for\nChildren in Need to learn about what Youth Social Action means to Black\nchildren and young people. They will share this learning with the sector. \nWe invite you to come and share in this joyful celebration\nof the project\, taking place at Small World Theatre on 14 of July\, 4:30 – 9pm. Tickets\nare £5 and booking is required.
