DESCRIPTION:SPAN\narts are offering a unique opportunity for local\nMusicians interested in improvisation\, learning to play new\, experimental instruments\,\nand using musical skill to imagine yourself into the mind of another creature. \n \nSonic Spider is an immersive\, large scale\, hypnotic\,\nmusical interpretation of the consciousness of the orb web spider\, alone in her web\, patiently waiting and listening – for the\napproach of prey or predator\, or the wind and weather. DESCRIPTION:We are excited to be hosting BAMBOO by NoFit State – a spectacular new high-impact\, high-skill outdoor circus production using only bamboo and human bodies – revealing the fragility and beauty of our interconnected and interdependent life on this planet.\n\n\n\nThe artists arrive at an empty stage\, bringing bundles of bamboo. They build towering sculptures which morph\, transform and become an improbable\, delicate circus playground that seems to defy the laws of physics. \n\nInhabited by world-class circus artists and acrobats\, the structures bend\, and flex\, adding to the tension\, drama\, and sense of jeopardy that lies at the heart of great circus.\n\nA meaningful\, joyful performance with live music\, comedy and amazing feats of strength and agility. \n\nTogether we celebrate what’s possible when humans and the natural world trust each other and work in harmony.\n\n\n\nSaturday 10th August \n\n\nStart times: 2pm and 5pm \n\n\nColby Woodland Gardens\, Garden Road\, Amroth SA67 8PP \n\n\nDuration: 45 minutes  \n \nBAMBOO. A NoFit State production directed by Mish Weaver\, in collaboration with Orit Azaz and Imagineer Productions. It is supported by the Arts Council of Wales\, the Foyle Foundation\, and Without Walls\, and commissioned by Stockton International Riverside Festival\, Norfolk & Norwich Festival\, Hat Fair and Timber Festival. \n \n\nParking: there is paid parking available at the National Trust site\, but space may be limited\, please arrive early to ensure a space. Alternatively\, additional parking is available in Amroth and you can walk to the site from the beach\, this will take about 20-30 mins.  \n\n\nPublic transport is available to Amroth and you can walk to the site from there.  \n\n\nIn addition to seeing the show\, you will have access to explore the National Trust site. \n\n\nFacilities: The path to the performance site is wheelchair accessible\, please be aware that the performance will be on grass. There are accessible and public toilets available on site along with café facilities run by the National Trust.  \n\n\n\nIf you have any specific access needs please contact Bethan Morgan\, SPAN Community Producer\, at info@span-arts.org.uk  \n\n\n\nThis is an outdoor show\, there will be some mats available for people to sit on the ground at the front of the performance but the remaining audience will be standing.  \n\n\n\nWeather: we will do all we can to ensure the show goes on\, if there are gusts of over 25 miles an hour up to 25 hrs before the show\, the site will close\, if there is heavy rain that poses a risk to the performer&apos;s safety we will have to cancel the show. Foraging for pigments\nand creating Welsh paints is key\, it allows her to connect with her ancestorial\nland. Once\, one side of her family mined the Welsh land\, and the other farmed\nthe land. Rhiannon spends time in locations\nacross Wales collecting industrial waste and natural materials to form her\ngentle paints. Gentle Painting is Rhiannon uses gentle painting as a way of engaging\nwith the land\, and as a way to bring this connection into her studio. \nThe Gentle Painting Project invites\nPembrokeshire communities to map the beautiful colours of their home county. Rhiannon spends time in locations\nacross Wales collecting industrial waste and natural materials to form her\ngentle paints. Gentle Painting is Rhiannon uses gentle painting as a way of engaging\nwith the land\, and as a way to bring this connection into her studio. \nThe Gentle Painting Project invites\nPembrokeshire communities to map the beautiful colours of their home county. We\ninvite you all to send a small sample of earth\, rock or clay from your garden\nto add to a pallet of sustainable paints which will be made and used in\nworkshops to map out Pembrokeshire using its own colours.  \nPlease send your dried earth samples in a\nsealed bag\, within in a letter that can fit through a letterbox to: The Gentle\nPainting Project\, SPAN Arts\, Towns\nMoor\, Moorfield Rd\, Narberth.SA67 7AG by the 10th of August. In your letter detail\nyour sample location so we can add it to the map. You can also drop off your\nsample at the SPAN building on Wednesdays between 10am and 5pm or bring your\nsample directly to a workshop. \nRhiannon\nwill be holding two workshops in St Davids and Span Arts\, where communities are\ninvited to learn how to make gentle paints using the earths collected from\ntheir samples.
